Within GROW a procedure is developed for the monitoring of our PhD students:
- At the start of the research project the Training and Supervision plan (Opleidings- en begeleidingsplan) has to be filled in.
- Within 3 months after the appointment as PhD student the PhD Questionnaire (form A) has to be filled in.
- At first PhD students are appointed for the duration of one year, with the possibility for a three year extension (in a regular situation) after a performance evaluation (beoordelingsgesprek) at the end of year 1. At least one month before this performance evaluation takes place, below mentioned forms need to be filled in:
- the Job Performance Evaluation (form B)
- the Balanced Score Card (filled in by both PhD students and (co)promotor)
- the Self Assessment Card (filled in by PhD student only)
These forms should be provided electronically to our PhD coordinator (cc to the GROW secretary office) and the PhD student’s relevant HR manager within FHML (P. Janssen or Y. Engelen). If these forms are not received in time, it is not possible to plan a performance evaluation. - At the end of year 2 the PhD student will be invited for a conversation with the Scientific Director of GROW. One month before this conversation the Job Performance Evaluation (form C), Balanced Score Card and the Self Assessment Card need to be filled in.
- Also at the end of year 3 and year 4 the Job Performance Evaluation (form D and form E), Balanced Score Card and the Self Assessment Card need to be filled in.
