The mission of the programme Prevention is to prevent cancer and genetic abnormalities by studying (micro-) environmental and lifestyle factors that affect normal development and human organ function. For this purpose the full potential of epidemiological data sets, innovative cell technologies and genomics platforms will be exploited.
